Located in Drangsnes and featuring in-room coffee/tea facilities and free Wi-Fi, this guesthouse offers versatile accommodation in both rooms and self-catering apartments. Hólmavík Village is a 30-minute drive away.

Malarhorn’s rooms offer private or shared bathrooms. The apartments have well-equipped kitchens.

Guests at Malarhorn can relax on the furnished outdoor terrace. A public swimming pool is found next door. Free hot tubs are available on Drangsnes’ main street by the shoreline.

Your hosts, Ásbjörn and Valgerður began building up their enterprise in the winter of 2007. They opened the Guesthouse Malarhorn the following spring but kept going and added the restaurant, Malarkaffi, in July the same year. The year after they added a ten bedroom house. In 2013 they added another house, with apartments and rooms, and now they can offer 48 beds. They also run the boat Sundhani, for seaangling and trips to the island Grímsey.
