Hotel Klettur offers 166 comfortable, modern rooms, several lounges, a game room and a bar. Standard rooms are bright and well equipped, ranging from 19 to 21 m2. Out superior rooms are located on the top two floors and are more spacious, including a sitting area with two chairs and a table. The top floors share two lounges and a south-facing balcony. All rooms include a hairdryer, coffee and tea-making facilities, refrigerator, in-room safe, shower, a flat-screen TV and free WiFi.

The hotel bar on the ground floor offers a great selection of local craft beers, cocktails and wine. This floor is also where you’ll find the dining room for a nice breakfast. Also, this floor includes a spacious lounge and a game room should your competitive streak strike. The overall design of the hotel and its furnishings draws their inspiration from Iceland’s unique natural world. Hotel Klettur takes its name (Klettur means boulder) from the rock outcroppings on the first floor where the stone is literally popping out of the walls.

From its perch on Mjölnisholt street, the hotel is easy to find for those travelling by car, but still only two-minute walk to Hlemmur (one of downtown’s two major transit hubs, which also boasts a trendy, new Nordic food hall), and the most popular stretch of Laugavegur (the city’s main shopping street).
