The big day is approaching, and we would like to highlight the key information we have received the most questions about.
Wristband & Parking Pass Collection
Wristbands and printed parking passes can be collected at 66 North stores in Kringlan and Hafnartorg on June 18 and 19.

Guests arriving with their wristbands already on will enjoy faster entry to the venue.
Tickets will be available for purchase at the two main entrances to the concert site, provided the event has not sold out.
Take Advantage of the Shuttle Service!
We strongly encourage you to secure your shuttle seat as soon as possible, as it is the most convenient and safest way to travel to and from Þingvellir on the day of the event. The buses will take you directly to Haki, from where guests will walk down through Almannagjá to the concert grounds.
Shuttle buses depart from Klettagarðar 27, where ample parking is available. Service begins at 10:00 AM, as the program starts at 11:00 AM on the Valhalla Stage with Laddi, Nói Klóse, and many fantastic performers for all ages.
There is plenty of parking available at Klettagarðar for your vehicle.
There will be a significant police presence in the Þingvellir area throughout the day. Let us all remember the timeless rule:
Don't drink and drive!
Return buses from Haki to Reykjavík will depart every hour from 7:00 PM onward.
Seats can be reserved through Moment, and Greyline is now also offering transportation services.
Private Cars
Guests who have no alternative but to drive should secure a parking space immediately at:
Private vehicles will drive past the Haki Service Centre to the parking area at Brúsastaðir, from where shuttle buses will transport guests to the main entrance.
Shuttle buses will also operate from the parking areas at Tæpastígur and Leirur, returning guests to their vehicles after the concert.
Guests unable to collect wristbands and parking passes at the designated locations are asked to print their parking passes and tickets themselves and present them upon arrival. However, it will be much quicker for everyone if wristbands are worn in advance and parking passes are displayed clearly on the dashboard near the windshield of each vehicle.
Groups arranging private buses must register their arrival time, passenger count, and vehicle registration number by emailing:
This is required in order to receive permission to drive directly to Hakið with concert guests.
Traffic Restrictions
Road access around the concert area will be restricted to concert guests only from 3:00 PM, including:
- Uxahryggir
- Grafningsvegur
- Miðfell on Lyngdalsheiði
Guests traveling from Laugarvatn or Selfoss with reserved parking at Brúsastaðir or Tæpastígur should arrive before 3:00 PM. After that time, traffic control measures require police escort, which may result in delays.
Normal access will remain open until 3:00 PM in both eastbound and westbound directions.
After 3:00 PM, the road will be closed eastbound at the intersection of Þingvallavegur (Route 36) and Grafningsvegur Upper (Route 360). The road will also be closed westbound at the intersection of Þingvallavegur (Route 36) and Lyngdalsheiðarvegur (Route 365) near Miðfell.
After 3:00 PM, no one will be permitted to travel toward Þingvellir through these road closures unless they have a concert ticket and a reserved parking space. Confirmation of parking reservations at Þingvellir will be checked at the roadblocks.
Guests are kindly asked to have their parking reservation confirmation readily available and clearly visible when approaching the road closures.
Accessibility
We place great emphasis on accessibility and ensuring that guests with mobility impairments are well accommodated.

Other Important Information
All boat traffic and other watercraft activity on Þingvallavatn within the National Park is prohibited from 8:00 AM on June 20 until midnight on June 20.
Horse riding is not permitted within the concert area on this day, nor are pets allowed.
Guests may not bring alcohol or other food and beverages into the venue.
Once inside the concert grounds, guests may leave and re-enter later.
For safety reasons, the police do not permit camping chairs or umbrellas within the concert area.
A large food village has been established opposite the concert grounds, offering excellent facilities. In addition, a substantial number of restroom facilities have been placed throughout the venue.
Food and beverage vendors, along with restroom facilities, will be available at both the Valhalla Stage and the main stage at Dynberg.

BERGMÁL is a cultural concert experience set in a UNESCO-listed national park. Guests are expected to respect nature, fellow attendees, and the site at all times.

The presale starts on April 9 for those registered on the Key to Iceland mailing list (limited number of tickets).
General tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis from April 10.

Guests who collect their wristbands before traveling to Þingvellir will benefit from faster entry processing upon arrival at the venue.

Important Parking Information – Bergmál at Þingvellir
Saturday, June 20, 2026
Subsidized parking for standard cars is available at Leirar and Tæpastígur from 10:00 AM.
All vehicles must be removed by 03:00 AM on Sunday, June 21.
The total price is ISK 1,490 (ISK 1,000 + ISK 490 service fee).
Included: guided access and shuttle service from the parking area to the Bergmál entrance, as well as return shuttle service from Haki after the concert.
Please note: To access these parking areas, guests must arrive before 4:00 PM.
Parking at Brúsastaðir is available from morning until evening.
These spaces must also be vacated by 03:00 AM on Sunday, June 21.
The total price is ISK 4,950 (including service fees).
Guided access and shuttle service to and from the Bergmál entrance are included.
Please note: We strongly recommend using the round-trip shuttle service, operating from 10:00 AM.

Be responsible
If you are not using the shuttle service, we strongly encourage carpooling to reduce traffic and delays due to high demand.

BERGMÁL Music Festival takes place on the summer solstice, June 20, 2026, set within the extraordinary landscape of Þingvellir National Park – just 40 minutes from Reykjavík.
Located between the drifting tectonic plates of North America and Eurasia, Þingvellir is not only a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but also the historic heart of Iceland, where the nation’s parliament was founded over a thousand years ago.
KALEO will headline BERGMÁL at Þingvellir, joined by a handpicked group of artists. The lineup features some of Iceland’s most celebrated musicians, including Emilíana Torrini, Mugison, Stuðmenn, Helgi Björnsson, Hjálmar, GDRN, Júníus Meyvant, KK, and Árný Margrét – with more special guests to be announced.

More about MugisonMugison is an Icelandic musician who moves between being a performer, a folk singer, and a rock monster.
His music can be simultaneously gentle and sincere or loud and electrifying. At Þingvellir he will be performing with a band. He began his career as a one-man band, blending rock, folk, and electronic elements, and released has received numerous Icelandic Music Awards. More about HjálmarHjálmar is one of Iceland’s most beloved reggae and pop bands, known for their upbeat sound, infectious melodies, and unmistakable live energy. Formed in Reykjavík in 2002, the band has played a major role in popularizing reggae-influenced music in Iceland while blending it with pop, folk, and Icelandic lyrical traditions. With multiple chart-topping albums and songs, Hjálmar has become a staple of Icelandic festivals and summer concerts. Emiliana Torrini
More about Emilíana TorriniEmilíana Torrini is an Icelandic–Italian singer-songwriter best known for her international hit “Jungle Drum”, and critically acclaimed solo albums. Emilíana has collaborated widely across music, film, and television. She co-wrote songs for Kylie Minogue, contributed vocals to projects by Paul Oakenfold and Kid Koala, and performed “Gollum’s Song” for The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. KK
More about KKKristján Kristjánsson also known as KK is an Icelandic blues and folk musician. KK was born on March 26, 1956 in Minnesota, United States, but later moved to Iceland with his family. He attended music school in Malmö, Sweden for four years and then played his way across Europe from 1985 until 1990, when he returned to Iceland. He has been nominated for the Gríma Prize twice and has been awarded the Icelandic Music Prize twice.

Júníus Meyvant
More about Júníus MeyvantUnnar Gísli Sigurmundsson has been releasing music under the Júníus Meyvant moniker for years. Unnar was somewhat brought up in a musical and religious household in Vestmanneyjar. The island’s microscopic population and wild and rugged nature was a great playground for the energetic Unnar. Júníus Meyvant’s afflicted, concise, melodic and rich take on freaky folk pop has a highly familiar and soulful feel to it and a hint of attitude.

Árný Margrét
More about Arny MargretÁrný Margrét is a singer-songwriter from Ísafjörður in Iceland’s Westfjords. She began studying music at an early age, and quickly gained attention in Iceland and internationally for her powerful songwriting and captivating performances. Her sound blends indie folk with a distinct personal atmosphere, capturing both beauty and ache inspired by life among the mountains and long winter darkness of the Westfjords. Stuðmenn
Stuðmenn are the incarnation of Icelandic post-modernism. What characterizes Stuðmenn´s music most is that it has no particular limits, is neither bound by style, zeitgeist nor fashion fluctuations. It allows itself to be outside all borders and to go against the prevailing trends at any given time.
