Krauma

Geothermal meets Glacial water
At the foot of Deildartunga geysers, the most powerful in Europe, Krauma creates an experience that is both powerful and soft – just like Iceland itself. There, in Reykholtsdalur valley close to Snorri Sturluson’s historical sites, two different forces meet: hot geothermal water from the earth’s interior and clear glacial water from the mountain Ok. This results in perfect balance – in words, but also in body.
Hot tubs or saunas - your wellness is guaranteed
Krauma offers five different hot tubs and one cold, each with its own character and temperature, surrounded by a quiet, modern design where nature is never far away. Krauma also offers two types of saunas: steam where the steam rises through the wooden benches on which you sit and infra-red steam. After that, you can relax by the fireplace in the relaxation room.
A quick bite of local ingredients before you leave
Krauma’s restaurant focuses on fresh regional ingredients to top the experience, so Krauma is a perfect example of how geothermal heat can be more than just warm water – it can become a space where the body gets a rest and the mind cleanses.
