In a quiet cove by Lake Urriðavatn, just outside Egilsstaðir, a unique spa floats, which has attracted worldwide attention: Vök Baths. Vök is a symbolic name – it refers to icy areas formed during the winter months when the water froze everywhere except where hot water sprang up.
